Tunisie Clearing is charged by the Ministry of economics and of the securities codification in the Tunisian Market.
Tunisie Clearing is member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies ANNA.
Being a National Numbering Agency, Tunisie Clearing provides an ISIN code to each security prior to its admission. Tunisie Clearing can also provide the ISIN code to any security on a motivated request of the issuer.
The ISIN code allotment is the prerequisite condition for securities exchange between Tunisie Clearing’s participants.
The ISIN code (International securities identification number) is an international number used to identify securities according to ISO 6166 standard.
The ISIN code is composed of 12 alphanumeric characters. The two first serve to identify the country of the security’s issue according to the ISO 3166-1 ISO standard (TN for Tunisia). The 9 following characters identify the security and the last character is a key control calculated on the basis of an algorithm.
Tunisie Clearing provides each participant or service beneficiary with an identification code which is used in all its exchanges with Tunisie Clearing and with the market stakeholders (other participants, stock exchange and the Central Bank of Tunisia).
